Acoustic Guitar Lessons

Beginner to Expert

There are a number of advantages to playing the acoustic guitar. However, the acoustic guitar sometimes has a bit of a bad reputation. One of the reasons for this is most likely because the acoustic is the first guitar that you learn on, and can sometimes be seen as a stepping-stone to the electric guitar.

Another reason might be that when you tell someone that you play acoustic guitar they immediately picture you playing in front of a campfire or fumbling along like a novice player. It has quite a few advantages over it’s closely related electric guitar.

Beginner

Beginner guitar lessons are for students with little to no guitar experience and who want to learn the basics of fretting and how to pluck the strings. We’ll start by reviewing posture and basic chords. Next, we’ll cover the strumming pattern. Finally, you’ll have the opportunity to put it all together for your first simple song.

Intermediate

Intermediate guitar lessons are offered to students who have already been practicing guitar for several years and want to improve their skills. After a considerable period of time and regular guitar practice you will pass the stage of the beginner and move up to a more intermediate guitar level. You’ve acquired all the basic skills and you’re looking forward to the next step to becoming an advanced guitarist.

Advanced

Our advanced guitar lessons are for highly skilled guitarists wishing to refine their technique or who plan to audition for music schools and bands. This is when you level up your chords across the fretboard and different fingerstyle techniques.

We teach students of all ages, skill levels, learning styles, from kids between the ages of 5 – 90 years old. We are based in Newmarket, however in-home music lessons are also an option if you are in a nearby area such as Aurora or Bradford.
